The CZ P-07 is my all-time favorite carry gun. If I had to choose only one gun to do everything, the P-07 would be the gun I would pick. In my opinion, the double action first trigger pull makes it one of the safest platforms for defensive use and concealed carry, especially when carried inside the waistband in the appendix position.

The CZ 75 is one of the most trusted weapons for military and law enforcement world-wide and is also very popular in competitive shooting. It's excellent ergonomics, low bore axis, and accuracy also make it an outstanding home defense and self defense weapon in it's various full-size and compact versions. I have been competing in action pistol shooting with a CZ 75 for several years and I also carry them for self defense purposes.

I started out with and have always loved 1911s, but I've never been comfortable carrying one for defensive purposes on a regular basis because of their low capacity. The 2011 platform gives me the increased capacity that I want with the performance and ergonomics of the venerable 1911.

There is no denying the Glock 19's reliability track record and the availability of aftermarket parts to improve and customize the gun. I have come to appreciate this platform after making the grip angle more similar to a CZ or a 1911/2011 by installing modified beavertail backstraps and re-contouring the bottom of the trigger guards.

These guns are used exclusively for competition in the action shooting sports of USPSA, IDPA, and Multi-Gun. I regularly attend these local area shooting matches, because I think it is an excellent way to improve and maintain gun handling proficiency under pressure and compare your abilities with other like minded people.
