Mustang is SOLD!

Date: March 7, 2002

Over the past 12 years, I have thoroughly enjoyed owning, modifying, driving, and racing my Mustang, but for several years I have desired a different car. Since they came out in 1995, I have fantasized about owning a 1995 BMW M3, and I believe it's time to take the necessary steps to finally make that fantasy become a reality... which means the Mustang must go. I've struggled with the thought of selling it for an M3 or keeping it and investing more money into it to make it more competitive, but I just can't justify spending more money on the car when I really just want an M3. Even though the M3 will be my daily driver for the first couple of years, I believe that I can make it just as competitive in Solo2 as the Mustang is now or even more so (the 1995 BMW M3 is a proven nationally competitive race car in Solo2 as well as professional road racing), and still have it be a fairly comfortable street car. I've decided to put the Mustang up for sale while I continue to race it (until it's sold) during the 2002 season to see if anyone is interested in it. If I havent' sold the Mustang by the end of the 2002 season, then I'll probably just keep it, and take that as a sign from God that I'm supposed to keep it.

UPDATE March 11, 2002: I guess God wants me to have an M3, cause I sold the Mustang today for $7000 (wow that was fast!). I have to admit that I'm sad about selling the car, especially since I spent so much time working on it during the off season getting it ready to possibly win the 2002 WTR-SCCA Championship, but I'm ready for the change.
